All good things were meant to be leaked…right? Just in case you weren’t one of the lucky 11 journalist to walk the inner hallways of Apple’s testing labs I got a few snapshots for ya.
You’ll see the prototypes covered and surrounded my iMacs, the outside/inside of an anechoic chamber of death, the dummy heads and hands used to test reception and a 3D cat scan of the iPhone 4’s internals. Enjoy.
All seems well in the land of upload speeds, at least in the NJ/NYC area. I am also tracking a thread on MacRumors that indicates upload speeds are getting back to the norms unless you live in Pheonix, AZ. According to the thread, Phoenix natives, are still gazing upon the stars wondering when internets will grant them upload love.
I’ve had the iP4 since the launch day and yes I have seen the bars drop…but haven’t dropped a darn call yet. I’m on the phone for the better part of each day and I, like Mr. Jobs, see this as a NON ISSUE.
It’s just like the old story “Dr. my arm hurts when I position it like this”… Dr: “Well don’t do that”….”Oh, Thanks”
Honestly, the news, media and Apple haters have taken this story and misconstrued the hell out of it. Whenever any company sells a million of anything, there are going to be some issues with a small % of the devices. That’s a given. The problem nowadays, is that the first “I want some media love-whore attention jerk” will begin to whine, tip news outlets and complain on every message bored around.
I’ve TRIED to drop a call by using a Samurai Death Grip and it just wouldn’t happen. Yes, the bars fall but it’s not hurting reception or the phones performance.
Anywho, to those who have been weary about picking up and iP4 because of this nonsense please don’t hesitate…it’s seriously not that bad.
If you are dropping calls, please drop a comment below. I’d love to see it in action.
Something remarkable has happened with the iPhone OS even though most people haven’t realized it. Apple for the first time has seemed to ditch the, less than welcoming, blue notification pop ups. In the latest beta release, developers were quick to find a new way to interact and control the iPhone iPod application. A new set of controls now appear when swiping to the far right after a home button double tap.
So what does this mean for the future of a possible sans blue notification system? Well it seems like El Jobso is finally allowing interaction with non visible apps without the less than stellar system that is currently in place. I can finally picture receiving unobtrusive notifications either appearing from the bottom or top of the screen. My assumption is that Apple realized they had let the cat out of the bag and quickly pulled the beta update. What do you think?
Well, lookie lookie here. After all of the speculation and rumors this seems to be the real deal. The phone fell into the hands of Gizmodo today and they have confirmed that all of the internals are indeed Apple branded and manufactured. I think its a pretty bold design on Apple’s part but I do expect the exposed seems and edges to be refined prior to Apples official release.
If there are any indications that this is the realy thing it would seem you could compare the 30 pin dock connection. Apple decided to go with an overly flat dock connection on the iPad and this supposed 4G leak shares some of those traits. Take a look and tell me what you think
